Frequently asked questions

BEFORE YOUR MASSAGE

1. How do I pay and when?

Please note that I will not accept cheques, all the payments are done by the customer in cash on the day at the beginning or at the end of the massage or via wire transfer.

2. What if I need to cancel my appointment?

- For the Body Massage & Reiki treatment only:

Yes, you can cancel your appointment, I do not charge any fees for cancellations. The only thing that I ask is to please value the time of my service and give me as much notice as possible (at least 4 hours notice).

3. Can I eat before a massage?

You can have a small snack half an hour beforehand. Choose foods that are easy on the stomach. Too large a meal or hard-to-digest foods can cause uncomfortable gassiness.

A final caveat: Avoid drinking alcohol before the massage. As a sedative, it can dull the sensation.

DURING YOUR MASSAGE

4. What products will you use?

I use only natural ayurvedic massage oils without fragrance. I use almond seed oils and ayurvedic cream for the face. Please, let me know if you have any allergies.

5. The pressure is not deep enough, but I don't want to insult the therapist's technique. What should I do?

Communicate openly with me. My job is to listen to you and understand you. Keep in mind however that it's a myth that massage therapy has to hurt to be effective. In fact, too much pressure can cause muscles to seize up.

AFTER YOUR MASSAGE

6. Am I supposed to tip the massage therapist?

Tipping me is always appropriate or you can always show your appreciation by referring friends, family, and co-workers to me.

7. How often should I receive a massage?

The answer here depends on the reasons for receiving the massage. If a client comes for injury relief or to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with their daily lives in some way, weekly sessions may be necessary for a while to improve the efficiency of each session in terms of relief and healing.

For those who use massage as preventive care and managing the daily stress in their lives, once every one or two weeks is about the norm. They may shorten the time between massages during stressful periods. Some come more often just because they enjoy it that much.

For the Onsite Chair massage, is becoming a popular form of preventative healthcare in the workplace and with recent studies suggesting that regular massage can boost concentration, immunity and vitality levels.

8. I am very happy with my session and would like to take it one step further. How could I leave some feedback?

Your feedback is very important. I love to read your opinions on my website ("Customer Reviews") and feel you closer to me. Your feedback will make me improve, bring more ideas and will make us all happy.
